Slightly advanced tight play
April 25th, 2005 by brother9If you are slightly more experienced with the casino, but definitely not to the level of comfort where you can read your opponents, I’ll expand the play table I introduced.
Using the same conventions as in the other post:

| AA KK 99 88 AJs ATs | Check (Limp) and raise |
| 66 55 A9s A8s A7s KQ | Limp and call 1 |
| AKs AQs AK | Limp and raise (raise & call if you are in the blinds) |
| 77 QJs KJs AQ AJ | Raise and call 1 |
| QQ JJ TT KQs KTs JTs | Raise and call 2 |
This method will let you play more hands at the table, but it’s a sin to play every poker hand. Just because you’re sitting at the table doesn’t mean you need to play the cards dealt you.
