In another example of how gambling addictions destroy everything it touches 23-year-old Bryan Benjafield in England admitted to police that he stole more than 1 million pounds to support his gambling habit. All of that money was of course taken from his work Charminster Limited in Dorchester where he is or was a book-keeper.
Mr Benjafield would make checks out to himself from the company, cash them and then go gambling. He was taking money every day in different amounts some of the over 17,000 pounds. Even he was shocked at the final tally of his crimes. His former employer is now trying to stay in business thanks to all the money stolen.
