Friendly Poker Game Is Not So Friendly

If you and your buddies like to hang around at one of yours homes and just play a nice friendly game of poker well be forewarned. The police can and will arrest you for it. 16 friends in South Carolina got together to do just that and were in the middle of the game when the police broke in and arrested them for illegal gambling.
They face fines and jail time for what some lawyers consider an outdated law. The law was created in the 1800’s state that playing games with cards or dice is gambling and thus illegal even if money is not used.
Now think about this. How many times as a child or even now have you played go fish, gin, and board games with dice? How many times have your grandma had friends over for a friendly game of bridge?
Any game is illegal that uses dice or cards, and that is just ridiculous. The good news is that some of these people are fighting this seriously outdated law.
