How your poker screen name affects your table image

Picking out a screen name can be fun. You can pick a controversial name such as GoRedSox and have every New York poker player talking junk to you or you can pick a non-controversial name such as your pets name along with your pets image.

Nobody is going to start an argument with you because you have a roosters name as your screen name but being a Red Sox fan, I know that using something such as GoRedSox could be the topic of an argument at your table. Some people want that, some people don’t.

I personally like to concentrate on my poker. I don’t talk much at a table so I don’t like much attention coming my way for reasons other than my poker.
