Where can one find low limit 7 Card Stud in Atlantic City?  Fortunately there are 3 casinos in Atlantic City that still spread low limit 7 card stud, the Trump Taj Mahal, the Tropicana, and Harrah’s.  This article will briefly go over each.

The Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City probably has the biggest variety of 7 Card Stud offerings in all of Atlantic City.  They run games from $1-$5 all the way up to $300-$600 on a regular basis.  For the low limit players, you typically have two options, $1-$5 and $5-10.  The $1-$5 Stud game at the Taj is a no ante game.  This means that you can sit down and be dealt without even having to post.  Every dealer change, the house requires a $1 post.  This game runs just about daily with probably about 2 tables max.  The $5-$10 game runs daily and requires a 50 cent ante before each hand.  Usually there is one table of this running daily.  On occasion you will find 2.  Most of the time the games at the Taj is filled with a few regulars and a few people that float in and out.  The average age at the table is usually about 50.

The Tropicana has the only $3-$6 Stud game in town.  The game there is run without an ante as of last report.  The Trop used to run a $1-$5 game but they now only run $3-$6.   From the last report I received about the Trop, the $3-$6 is a game that is filled with regulars and is a very rocky game.

If your game is $1-$5 Stud, then you need to go to Harrah’s.  Harrah’s runs $1-$5 daily and almost always has 2 tables minimum going.  The first time I played there, there were 4 tables running at once for $1-$5.  I hadn’t seen more than 2 tables at a time running a stud game at low limits since I visited California.  The norm according to the regulars is 3 tables for the game.  There is almost always a list for the game, which is very promising for the prospects of this game staying live a long time.  Also, hands qualify for the High Hand of the Day award, which I was fortunate to win on my last trip with a Royal Flush.  The High Hand of the Day receives $200 in comps.  You also earn comp dollars at 50 cents an hour.
