Playing Out of Position
There are many chances to play average hands and there are times when you should avoid playing them. Unless you are a master at complex play, do not play weak , useless hands until you are in a late position (ie the last or second last player to act on the table) and it is worth it to call.
If you call in a early position, a late position can raise the pot, which will force you to do two things- You can abandon your previous bet or you can burn some more money on an average hand. Later positions allow you to gauge the strength of other opponents hands and hence allow you to make an informed and educated decision about whether you should call or you should just fold your below average hand.
Keep this in mind while playing. I intend to continue this series of poker tips, so all kinds of players of all categories can benefit.

The tactical decision that precedes almost every play in a baseball game involves pitch selection.
