Bet365 Football Markets: Half-time/Full-time Score

Posted on September 18th, 2009 by Stephen Lunn in Gambling, Online Gambling

Bet365 offers punters further markets on which to place their bets. Gone are the days of basic score casts and full-time winners, now you can increase your overall odds and even your chances of winning. Here I will cover the Half-time/Full-time bet.

In this option you choose whether the team of your choice will be winning at half time, drawing, or losing, and whether they will then go on to win, lose or draw at the end. Take a look at the first Manchester Derby of the season, set for 20th September. The odds given for Utd to win on 90 minutes are 4/7, for City to win 5/1 and for the draw they are 3/1.

If you feel like Manchester Utd are going to beat their city rivals then to increase your overall odds it would be a good idea to split your stake over the three options at half-time. For them to be winning at HT and to go on and win the odds are 11/8, to be tied at HT and to go on and win the odds given are 10/3, while the odds to be losing at HT and then to go on and stage a comeback for the three points are a nice long 25/1.

You see how these markets are useful in increasing your odds, making them longer in total than the basic 90 minute win bet. In this case especially, it is very likely that the home team may be trailing at HT, so if you believe they will go on to win this is a nice option.
