No need for a poker face

Posted on November 18th, 2009 by james Lea in Gambling

Playing poker online has numerous advantages, one of which is the ability to never have to keep a good poker face, as your opponents never actually see you. For some this element of poker is their favorite part of the game. The thrill of trying to read your opponents while all the while keeping your own emotions in check so you don’t give anything away. However for must of us this element of the game is more annoying then useful, Its hard enough to keep track of the game at hand let alone trying to read people at the same time. Online poker means you give your full attention to the table without worrying about what your face is telling your opponents. You can jump for joy when you have a good hand or bite your nails all you like when your bluffing. Your opponent will never know you are doing these things and hence he cannot try and read you as a player. In online poker you can play the odds and analyze your opponents playing rather than worrying about how much he is raising his eyebrows. Online poker is not about mind games as with real poker, it’s about who plays the better game of cards.
